COURSE DESCRIPTION
Orthodox Evangelism: Becoming Ambassadors of Christ
- Start Date: Begins on June 10th
- Meeting time: Tuesdays from 7-8 PM
- Overview: The Risen Jesus Christ commanded His followers to ‘make disciples of all nations.’ He promised to empower His followers with the Holy Spirit so that they would offer their witness of faith locally, regionally, and globally. Saint Paul calls all baptized believers ‘ambassadors of Christ.’ Come and join us as we explore Orthodox Evangelism, learning WHY it’s normal for Orthodox Christians to share the treasure of faith with others, HOW we go about offering a witness of faith to the world, what obstacles are in sharing our faith, and how we overcome these challenges.
- Price: Course cost is $400.
- Course Participants: Parish Priest, Metropolis and Parish Staff, Young Adult Ministry Leaders, Educators, and Missionaries.
- Certification: Earn digital credentials for completing continuing education courses at HCHC. Showcase your expertise in a specific focus area related to parish leadership, administration, evangelism, counseling, and more. Take a single course for a micro-credential or stack multiple courses within a track to achieve a higher-level certification.
This course is offered within the Evangelism Track. Additional Continuing Education courses will be announced, all of which aim to build essential skills focused on topics in Evangelism.

Fr. Luke Veronis
Fr. Luke Veronis is the Director of the Missions Institute of Orthodox Christianity at Holy Cross and has taught at both Holy Cross and Hellenic College since 2005. A longtime missionary, he served in Albania for over a decade with his wife, Presbytera Faith, and has participated in missions throughout Africa. He pastors Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster, MA. Fr. Luke also serves on the Boards of OCMC and Project Mexico and leads annual mission trips, including a summer course in Albania on the missiology of Archbishop Anastasios.
