Please join Dr. Eve Tibbs for this 3-credit college-level course, offered synchronously online to learners from around the globe. Qualified applicants will be accepted to the class on a first-come, first-served basis. Auditors are also welcome. This course introduces students to the living and dynamic Orthodox Christian Faith through its dogmatic theology, worship, historical developments, and spiritual life. Topics covered in this survey course include the Great Feasts, the sacraments, iconography, the veneration of saints, monasticism, and theological concepts such as the Trinity and the image of God. The course invites thoughtful engagement with primary sources, both patristic and contemporary, as well as a focus on reading the New Testament from an Orthodox perspective. Live class lectures and discussions will explore the Orthodox Church's enduring wisdom and relevance in the world today.
Admission Requirements

Dr. Eve Tibbs is an Affiliate Professor of Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary, where she teaches Historical Theology, Systematic Theology, and Eastern Orthodox Theology. Her research and teaching interests include: the Holy Trinity and Personhood, Ecclesiology, Early Church History, and Doctrinal Development.
Dr. Tibbs is a member of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches, representing the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
